The hotel was very close to the beach and had at least two good restaurants nearby. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the room was clean and had good facilities.
All was good.

The hotel itself was well situated and even though the staff spoke no english at all, they tried to be helpful
-Small rooms for the price (currently staying at Royalty hotel which has a room 3 times as big as the one I had at Entremares, with ocean and mountain view for only 30 real more a day). - The bed was awful - Room was directly on top of restuarant. It was very noisy so the staff woke me up at 6am every day when they started preparing for breakfast - the view sucked

I was there in winter, July 7-17. The temperature was in the range 17- 24, so we did not use the air-conditioner. The rooms where good cleaned every day, towels were changed. Shower and toilet worked just fine. The breakfast was very good and contained a lot of fruits. The personal was very helpful, though barely understanding English. The room had a safe, and two 14'' laptops were fitting in. Hotel is in a good spot at the entrance to "Barra da Tijuca", easy to access by public transport (there is also a direct bus of real from the int. Airport passing by!). There is a lot of restaurants just in from of the hotel (the prices are European level -- Barra is an expensive place). The beach is reachable on foot in 10 mins. For 50 centavo one can take a bus. Also, there is a big supermarket just next to the Hotel!
No shampoo was provided. Personal doesn't speak English (though, they try hard to understand and satisfy the need). Also, for a similar hotel in Udine, Italy, I was payin just 50 Euro a night. In Entremares Hotel it was 110 for a double bad room per night (I shared the room with my co-worker).

+hay bastante opciones para cenar justo enfrente del hotel
Staff does not speak English. They can not issue a simple invoice. Furniture and decoration is from 70s. There was no champoo in the room and for 120 euros you could expect at last that....etc etc.

The hotel provided a lovely Xmas experience, with festive decorations and a pleasant atmosphere. the breakfast buffet was quite enjoyable, with a good selection of fruits and pastries available. The hotel's location was convenient, with many nearby restaurants and a supermarket within walking distance.
The rooms were a bit dated, and the air conditioning was difficult to control, leading to varying temperatures in the room. there were no screens on the windows, causing some issues with bugs.

Spent my new year's eve at a budget hotel. Loved the service and the staff were very helpful. the location was perfect as it was close to the market and restaurants, which was great. the continental breakfast was included, which was a bonus, and the rooms were clean and spacious. I also enjoyed the fast Wi-Fi, and the AC was perfect for the warm weather.

Located in a safe area, this hotel is perfect for thrifty travelers as it boasts a supermarket next door and an array of restaurants on the same street. Beachgoers might want to walk at least 800 m. the friendly staff caters to guests' needs, like preparing milk for young children. the breakfast buffet is quite satisfying, with fresh fruit and plenty of options like scrambled and fried eggs. Parking, not typical in Rio, is available in the garage. While the rooms have an old feeling, the wifi works fine and is free. the cheaper alternative Ibis might offer more modern accommodations elsewhere.

We had a great time at a budget hotel near the market. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Free parking and continental breakfast were a plus. The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the TV and internet. I would recommend this hotel for a short-term stay.
